Select Property Group

THE BRIEF

This region has been a key area of focus for Select Property since the early 2000s. However, as the world evolves, Saudi has continued to grow and demonstrate its ability to not only parallel the stature of international investment but ultimately create a lane that showcases the country’s position as a hub for the most strategic, savviest of investors.

Our role was (and is) to harness this opportunity and to clearly tell Select Property’s communication in a concise and digestible manner. To do this we recommend hosting in Saudi a dinner gathering between key representatives from Select Property and top media journalists to enhance the relationship between both parties for future work collaborations, as well as utilise the event to secure strong coverage (only within the media in attendance) opportunities across key KSA media platforms.

THE DELIVERY

We hosted the event on Wednesday, February 28th at ROKA, Riyadh, where guests were welcome for a sit-down dinner to meet the Select Property team and to hear from the CEO about the value of cooperation between the UK and the Kingdom. Our role included:

  • Press releases to be distributed to all media attendees, as well as our regional media list (excluding the UAE as KSA is the focus)
  • A key consideration was that all media understand English but are not very fluent or comfortable speaking it so we ensured we kept the conversation light/simple for those non arabic speakers in attendance and we treated this event as more of an informal gathering and relationship builder as opposed to anything too formal
  • We anticipated some media would ask for a quick interview/catchup with Adam post dinner, which we ensured was an informal conversation to highlight Select Property’s commitment to continuously working closely and increasing ties with KSA residents as opposed to announcing anything official/confidential that might be included in their press release articles (media management being essential in KSA)
  • KSA media generally take their time in arriving at events and even though some will arrive on time or earlier, we managed the client’s expectations and formatted the event for others to arrive 15-20 minutes late
