The Jeddah Experience

THE BRIEF

On 05-06 December, we were tasked to support Netflix in hosting the very first Netflix Multi-title fan experience of the Arab World  in Jeddah.

This activation was aimed at reintroducing Netflix to the audience in Saudi and invite them to experience Netflix and their favorite Arabic and International titles like they never did before.

Capitalising on the Red Sea International Film Festival, when many Arab and international talent are in town, this was potentially an opportunity to connect (and potentially have moments of intersection) between fans, talent and the wider industry.

THE DELIVERY

Over the course of two-half days, we welcomed 4,100 fans including local artists, cosplay fans and all members of the family. We also hosted 85 press and content creators who joined us on the first day to preview the space.

Since it was held in conjunction with the Red Sea International Film Festival, we leveraged the presence of 6 regional talents inviting them to the experience for fan-engaging activities on the second day of the experience.

Through the conversations we weaved, we built out an experience that brought fans closer to their favorite content and offered them an opportunity to live it. Content views reached over 1.7M.

The two fan days were so popular that we extended the activation for two more days on the 12 and 13 of December.

  • Brought on board content creators with over 6M followers in total
  • Built awareness on messaging showcasing Netflix’s support for Women in Film
  • Educated the media on Netflix’s offerings
  • Created awareness on gaming diversity with fans & gamers
